Hi everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kellie, I am new to the group but I do know a few of the lads through my late husband Roy (I think he spelt it Roi on here or also Wee Loon) I have always liked to drive really fast and loved Old American Muscle cars but never truly appreciated cars until I met Roy. His love for Volkswagen Audi Group was infectious and we loved tinkering on them together. I am no mastermind or even a tech like he was but I am keen to learn anything I can to keep our hobby going. As it is such a good connection to him. I am slowly restoring the Harlequin Project car he bought me and it's been fun so far. He taught me how to weld and I am still perfecting that skill before I do bodywork on the Harlequin but I plan on doing as much myself as I can. I also have his Mk2 Golf that I am hoping to sort proper in his honour for our wee boy to have someday. I live in the Highlands and would love to meet some like minded folk this way too. I must say I am also new to online forums so if I am awkward I am sorry.

Hope this covers a wee bit. Excited to be on here with you all. Looking forward to learning anything I can. Cheers.

Any chance of you doing a build thread and recipe for your choc chip pancakes?

Welcome along, lots of useful threads on here and many friendly people too.

Roy was very helpful on here and giving advice and tips and winding folk up too of course.

Not sure how easy it will be to post pics etc now as I believe photobucket is now a complete ballache.

See you soon

:v:

Haha I do love to make Chocolate chip everything, think that's the American in me. Let's add candy to breakfast.

I will attempt to post pics of the cars soon as I can wrestle Xander to naptime. Is it ok to mention my facebook page for my Harlequin? If not that's ok, I get the whole personal pluggin not ok thing. Feel free to delete this comment as well. ;)

Hi Kellie, welcome to the club. Roy was a great lad, liked (and missed) by all who met or spoke to him on here. His love for pies was infectious too, I think that's why he got on so well with Andy now I think about it.

Got it. Lol. This is the best pic of the Harlequin I have. I can not take credit for it myself, Roy's mate Lee sent it to me from when he owned it. I don't know how it ended up so shiny and apparently neither does he. That's his Golf Harli behind the Tramp.

Hoping it will be after I sort the engine and some body work out. Thanking the gods most will just swap off my donor Polo. Trying to figure out how to tackle a few of the bits that are rotted out on the frame. This pic is my best one for sure. Most of the interior is surprisingly in good condition. Would like to keep it as Original as possible.
