Hi guys, love older vw's and was looking at getting a wee Mk3 as a daily and I've heard a lot of people saying go for classic car insurance but no company has yet been able to offer me a quote. Footman James said as of January the car will be 20 years old and therefor will qualify with them, other sites have requested the car be garaged (which I don't have unfortunately). So is it just back to ol Admiral for me or is there something I've missed? Any info from people with experience would be greatly appreciated :D

I also have classic car insurance, but it's on limited mile basis. The main issues that i read about classic insurance is to do with the policyholders age, the cars age and I am not sure whether you can use classic insurance for a daily driven car.

I use RH insurance for my Corrado.
Limited mileage, although they have never asked me for my mileage, if it came to it this could be checked through the MOT history.
I do have to have access to another car.
Not garaged.
Also they were able to add commuting to and from work to my policy, which others have refused.
I pay about £150 per year, and that includes breakdown cover.

Ben.
