I've got a code scanner not vagcom but it will give you current and past error codes saved on the ecu.

If you haven't already sorted this. I have full vcds and can scan for codes for you if you want.

Go on eBay and buy a WiFi Elm OBD2 adapter and download Carista or OBDdoctor from the appstore, provided you have an Iphone, this can read and clear faults.

Android alternatives will be available

I'm in Milngavie but work in Kirkintilloch. Have vag-com and will scan for a few beers.

Hell, if you're chatty enough, I'll do it for nout.

I know this is an old post but hey its worth trying!

Im looking for someone with maybe a scanner and some basic knowledge to give a helping hand!Hey Guys,

I currently own a 2008 MK4 Seat Ibiza 1.4 SportRider. I've noticed over the past few times I've driven my car that my engine management light will come on along with the EPC light. sometimes its just at random points when I'm driving but sometimes my car can just be sitting there and idling fine but then the revs start fluctuating crazily and if I switch my car on and off the problem will go away (temporarily).

The reason I'm concerned is that on my way home from Edinburgh the other day I was happily driving along at 70mph and my car suddenly started to lose power and my felt like it had gone into some sort of limp or safe mode so to speak. I forgot to mention that as soon as the car lost power, both the EPC and engine management light came on the dash. I really could be talking out my arse but Im sure someone said it could be a pressure sensor or something of that sort? I don't know if it is that, and if so I'm hoping that they are relatively straight forward to purchase and change over myself!

hopefully you guys will be able to give me some advice on what has went wrong and how it could be fixed!

Regards,

lmj266

I can scan codes and see if it brings anything up.

Pm me your mobile number we can sort out having a look at it.

Ben.
